All is now been set as the Editor of the famous Yoruba weekly tabloid, Alariya Oodua Magazine, Mr Kunle Babarinde will be launching an historical Yoruba book titled: YORUBA NI TOOTO (The Real Yorubas).
The book which contains the history of Ile-Ife and Modakeke, history of Oyo town, history of Ibadan land and the history of Alaafin Aole (the monarch that allegedly curse the Yoruba race) will be launched next week Thursday,the 16th of November, 2017 at Nigeria Institute Of Journalism Hall, Ogba, Lagos state by 12noon.
According to the author, Mr Kunle Babarinde, the book is edited by Association Of Yoruba Language Lecturers In Colleges Of Education In Nigeria and certified by many Yoruba Scholars. The book, according to Mr Babarinde is the first of its kind in history and will help the Yorubas to trace their origin while it also emphasized on the need for the Yorubas to see themselves as one.
The great project according to the author is dedicated to HID Awolowo and the mothers of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Mr Femi Adesina (Presidential spokesman), Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, former Osun deputy governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore and Otunba Gani Adams (OPC National Co-ordinator).
According to one of its staff, Gbenga Oladipupo, the occasion will be greased with top dignitaries such as Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Leader will be father of the day; Minister for Information and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed as the Special Guest of Honour; Rauf Aregbesola as the guess speaker; Mr. Femi Adesina, the Presidential Spokesperson will review the Book; Mr. Gbenga Adefaye, Editor-in-Chief of Vanguard Newspaper will present the Book.
Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife and Oba Saliu Adetunji, Olubadan of Ibadan will be the royal fathers of the day, while Otunba Gani Adams will be the lecturer of the day. Mothers of the day include Chief Mrs Folasade Tinubu Ojo, Iyaloja General of Nigeria; Chief Mrs Toyin Kolade, CEO, FISOLAK Global Resources and Alhaja Fatimot Mojisola Sanni, CEO, Ademoj Global Service.
