Prostitute Sells 3-Year-Old Daughter, Kidnaps Another Baby

A prostitute sold her three -year-old toodler for N280,000 to enable her offset an alleged debt burden  A prostitute has been arrested in Ogun State for selling her three-year-old daughter. 

Olubunmi Funke sold the little girl for N280,000 and used the money to settle her debt.  The suspect revealed that she sold her daughter to a member of a child trafficking ring, who also requested for more children. 

Funke said she took to prostitution to raise money when she was sent away from her matrimonial home.  

“I gave out my three year old daughter to Abibat Oyesanya who is into local adoption business. But she promised me that I would be allowed to visit my daughter once in three month.” 

“I am a prostitute, I engaged in prostitution after my first husband sent me packing. So, I decided to give out my daughter to the woman who gave me N280,000. I used the money to offset my debt.” 

"The woman also requested for more children based on more demands from those adopting children.

That is why I kidnapped the baby girl in Bodija, Ojurin, Ibadan, and brought it to the woman.”  Oyesanya, 51, admitted buying the child and said she sold her for N300,000 to a policewoman whose whereabouts could not be traced.
