JUST IN: Another Three-Storey Building Collapses In Lagos

Another building has collapsed in Lagos with no one reportedly trapped in the ruins. Efforts are ongoing to salvage some property
A three story building of a twelve flats has collapsed in Lagos State.
The building located at 31 Ilufe, Ojo Alaba area of the state caved in on Tuesday.
The incident reportedly occurred around 7:00 a.m.
Reports suggest that the building has shown signs of an imminent danger over the last week with no one pay attention to its worsening condition.
It was also gathered that it was only the landlord that slept in the building as the other occupants left the on Monday night.
Residents living around the collapsed building said “we heard an a loud sound. We thought it was an explosion which caused everyone to take to their heels, only to discover later that it was a building that collapsed. But we thank God no life was lost.”
The cause of the collapse could not be immediately ascertained.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), the Red Cross; Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), Lagos State Building Control Agency (LABCA) and men of the Nigeria Police officers have been deployed to the area.
The entire premises has been cordoned off by the police.
