Boko Haram Kills 4 In Borno Village
Suspected members of Boko Haram have killed residents of Wanori-Amarwa community in Borno State, northern Nigeria
Wanori-Amarwa community in Konduga local government area of Borno State has been thrown into mourning.Four of their loved ones have allegedly been killed by members of the Boko Haram terrorist group who attacked the community on Saturday just before mid-night.
The village is along Maiduguri-Konduga Road and some residents have been forced to flee their homes.
A witness, Idrissa Musa, told newsmen that heavily armed insurgents stormed the village killing and maiming the inhabitants.
Musa said that the insurgents also carted away food items and razed down houses in the village.
“The attack lasted for about 2 hours. The insurgent moved from house-to-house committing various forms of atrocities.
“Some of the surviving villagers with help of security operatives evacuated the wounded to the Specialist Hospital, Maiduguri,” he said.
According to him, the village is few metres away from a security check point in the area.
The military authorities have not confirmed the incident.
